Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

About these terms

These terms and conditions govern your use of The Porch Edit website and the purchase of our autumn entrance installation service. By placing a booking or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms. The Porch Edit is a trading name of Tablescape London.

The service

We provide bespoke pumpkin and autumn entrance installations for residential properties in London. Each installation is designed and installed by our team on the agreed date.

The exact design, materials and arrangement are at our creative discretion within the style and package you have selected. We will share a design proposal for your approval before installation.

Booking & deposit

  • A deposit is required to secure your installation date. Deposits are £100 (Signature), £250 (Statement) or £500 (Bespoke). Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of these terms.
  • Your preferred date is provisionally held on receipt of your deposit. It is confirmed in writing once your design proposal has been approved by you.
  • The remaining balance is due in full on the day of installation, before work begins.
  • Refund window. Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel at any point before you approve your design proposal. Once you have approved the proposal — by clicking the approval link in your confirmation email — the deposit becomes non-refundable, except where we are unable to fulfil the booking (see Cancellation & rescheduling below).
  • If you have not approved your design proposal within 7 days of it being sent, we reserve the right to release your date and refund your deposit in full.

Cancellation & rescheduling

  • You may cancel at any time before design approval and receive a full deposit refund, processed within 5–10 business days via your original payment method.
  • After design approval, cancellations are non-refundable. If you cancel within 48 hours of your installation date, the full remaining balance may also be invoiced to cover materials already purchased.
  • We will do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests subject to availability. Rescheduling requests made more than 72 hours before your installation date are free of charge. Requests made within 72 hours may incur a £50 rescheduling fee.
  • If we need to cancel your booking for any reason, we will provide a full refund of all amounts paid and will endeavour to offer an alternative date where possible.

Weather & force majeure

Our installations are designed to be enjoyed outdoors. However, certain conditions are outside our control.

  • Severe weather on installation day. If conditions are unsafe for our team to work (e.g. named storms, sustained winds above 50 mph, or Met Office red weather warnings), we will contact you to reschedule at no charge. Your deposit remains valid for the rescheduled date.
  • Post-installation weather damage. We are not liable for damage to or deterioration of the installation caused by weather events (wind, frost, heavy rain, extreme heat) after installation is complete and signed off.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for failure to perform where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to supply chain disruption, illness, or government restrictions. In such cases we will offer a full refund or rescheduled date.

On the day

  • We require clear, safe access to your entrance area on the agreed installation date.
  • Installation typically takes 1–3 hours depending on the package.
  • You or a responsible adult (18+) must be present or reachable by phone throughout the installation.
  • We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing structural issues at the property (loose steps, unstable surfaces, etc.).
  • Any damage caused directly by our team will be reported to you immediately and addressed at our cost.

After installation & collection

  • Natural materials (pumpkins, gourds, foliage) are perishable. Longevity depends on weather conditions and is not guaranteed beyond 4–6 weeks under typical autumn conditions.
  • We recommend keeping pumpkins sheltered from prolonged direct sunlight and away from hard frost where possible to extend their life.
  • Collection & removal. Unless a collection service has been agreed and paid for separately, removal of all materials at the end of the season is the client's responsibility. If materials are left beyond 30 November of the installation year, we accept no liability for their condition or any nuisance caused.
  • If a collection service has been agreed, we will contact you to arrange a collection date in November. If access cannot be arranged within a reasonable window, a £30 failed-collection fee may apply.

Photography & your property images

  • Images you provide to us. Photographs of your property that you upload during the booking process are used solely to prepare your bespoke design. They are kept strictly private and are never used for marketing, social media, press or any other purpose without your explicit written permission. You may request deletion of these images at any time by emailing us.
  • Images we take on the day. We may photograph the completed installation for our own portfolio. If you would prefer we do not photograph your property or entrance, please let us know before installation and we will respect that request without question.
  • Where you have given written permission for us to use images of your property for marketing, you may withdraw that permission at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will remove the images from active use within 14 days.

Damage & liability

  • Damage caused by our team. If our team causes direct damage to your property during installation or collection, we will notify you immediately, document the damage, and arrange repair or compensation at our cost.
  • Pre-existing conditions. We are not liable for damage arising from pre-existing structural issues at the property (e.g. loose steps, unstable surfaces, crumbling render). We will flag any concerns we notice before beginning work.
  • Natural deterioration. We are not liable for the natural deterioration of perishable materials (pumpkins, gourds, foliage) after installation, including deterioration accelerated by weather conditions.
  • Our maximum liability to you for any claim arising from this contract is limited to the total amount you have paid us for the relevant booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
